• Purpose |  Theology of the Body is so intimate & personal that it cannot be 'taught' by providing information or fully contained in courses, classes, retreats, or conferences. To fully integrate the mind with the will in hopes to impact whole lifestyles & worldviews, TOB must also be shared in personal, ongoing conversations in a trusting environment. God is ultimately in charge of this growth & impact, but our hope is that the Discover Your Story Model could play a part in that, slowly & gently guiding people to the depth of spousal imagery in each session, while getting more advanced at each level. 

• Concept | Being a Pioneer is for friends and family as much as it is for teachers and catechists, principals and pastors. Discover Your Story was originally designed for small group discipleship over many months and years of time. After all, as St. Paul VI said, “Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses.”

• Plan | To adequately cover the entire DYS Model in all eight levels with all the Gifts of the Spirit, it takes about 70 sessions and roughly 180 hours of time (or more). A dedicated group can do this in just over 3 years—the amount of time Christ spent with His disciples (40 months). From there, we trust in the Great Commission of Christ—where His virtues, His works of mercy, and His disciplines of discipleship will grow from our hearts and shine through our actions.
